This is a really nice destination to be closer to nature without leaving the city, the distance is quite a stretch from Lekki but definitely worth it.

It’s by far the best beachfront resort in Lagos, majorly because it’s part of a coastal town directly facing the seafront. There are a lot of places to relax and get enough suntan.

Lots of games to take part in as well; there’s a volleyball field, table tennis, swimming pool, football field etc. It can take huge amounts of people and still not look filled up, a proper resort good for romantic getaways. The environment gives of Southern American vibes and you would definitely enjoy your time here.

The service in general is however very poor, I came here all expenses paid so I could literally try anything. Options for the service you desire is not put in-front of you, you would have to request for things before you are offered or attended to. Customer service is also very poor.

The food is okay, nothing special, the drinks are okay as well, there’s a bar at the reception. I can’t really give a benchmark for the price.

In summary you would really enjoy the beachfront and environment here. If you’re looking for excellent service or food you would be disappointed. I recommend if you want to enjoy nature also for team or romantic getaways.

Jara!!!
Value for money. It was worth it 100%.
I paid for a Day pass with my friend and right from the reception, we knew we were going to have a nice time and it was nothing short of a nice time.
Jara feels like home with a lot of fun activities to do.
The Staff were warm and Samuel was exceptional as he was willing to help at every point in time.
Samuel also taught us how to play snooker ????.
I enjoyed the food???? and I'd definitely love to visit again.

So, if you need to get away from Lagos madness, please consider Jara Beach Resort and thank me later.

Villa: nice room, dining area and balcony setup. Could add the insect light to the balcony because it was swarming with mosquitoes at night. So having dinner outside wasn't really an option.

Food: Breakfast and Lunch was delicious, but dinner was a quite a disappointment for both nights.
We ordered the Chicken Quesadillas which was way to saucy to be put under a paper sheet, basically all the sauce would soak into the papers and stick to it. It was a hassle to separate and we left it unfinished.
Second night was BBQ night and was informed that for 2 guest, we could pick 4 choices.

We ordered : Beef, Chicken, Goat Meat and Broccoli.

surprisingly we were served a very odd number of skewers and pieces for a BBQ night?!?!

2 pieces of bite size beef
2 skewers of very dried chicken
2 skewers of goat meat
1 skewer of broccoli with 3 pieces

It wasn't even enough for 1 guest, basically you were to fill yourself up with Yam chips, or fries and the coconut rice. So it really doesn't stand out as a BBQ NIGHT.

We called the receptionist about it and they told me they would come by to have a look at was was served. So we didn't touch the food and waiting for 20 minutes with no response, I made a second call to finally have someone come over to see what happened. They couldn't give us an answer to why we were served that way and said they would ask the kitchen but we never got a feedback about it.

Drinks: We ordered Chapman the first day and sadly there wasn't any bitters in there. We informed the waitresses and they said the bartender was not around, so we presumed they didn't know how to make it. Firstly, Isn't the bartender suppose to be around all the time? So the next day, we ordered it again and they filled it half way with bitters, was unable to even have a sip. We had to manager try it herself and she was understanding to have a concierge do the Chapman that finally made sense.

For a resort that states food and drinks inclusive, I would really think they need to work harder on these aspects, because I don't think any of these issues were difficult to attend to for how much we are paying? especially the premium of a VILLA?!

Waiters and Waitresses: Extremely friendly service at all times.

Overall, I don't quite think it's worth paying for the Villa if this sort of errors persist, maybe just a regular room will suffice for the beautiful setup.

Jara Beach is a home away from home. The resort has a serene environment that is ecofriendly.

The staff were nice and courteous even with children, the food was enormous, they took the word hospitality to the next level and the resort is well secured.

I enjoyed every bit of my stay and I highly recommend this place especially if you are looking for a quite place to escape the hustle and bustle of Lagos.

The resort is a bit pricey but every dime spent is worth it.

I enjoyed an excellent stay here! The hospitality began before I even arrived with the staff checking in and taking my meal orders. Every member of the staff contributed to a great stay, but especially Samuel, Elizabeth, Faith, Adams, and Joseph. The site is both beautiful and secure with many fun things to do and beautiful views.

It was great. The ocean isn't tame and is divided from the main area. We didn't stay overnight. The food was nice. Overall a nice place to spend your holiday. It is a great place to bring children as they have activities like treasure hunt and a playground. There are many picture worthy spots there. I really enjoyed it. The location is a bit hidden but if you ask around I'm sure you'll find it.
