I absolutely loved the ambience and the taste of the food. The portions are fairly large.

I particularly like the variety of sitting areas (with different furniture types), the greenery and the fact that there are many other recreational businesses located in the same space.

But...

Orders are delayed, too much. I was unhappy to find my goat meat order more bone than meat. More annoying was the fact that my Virgin Mojito order was finished in two sips leaving me with a glass full of mint leaves and sliced lemon...I'd take Junkyard's drink (which is way cheaper) over theirs any day. The plantain was unripe and hard. I didn't eat a single one.

Overall, its a good restaurant and I'd go there again, but it not a very good place for a budget date.

PS: The lighting needs to be fixed to enable guests taking good photographs.

Update!
Environment still nice and the drinks are on point BUT:
- If your food comes with coleslaw, ask them to make sure its not getting sour;
- Plantain side ordered came cold;
- Despite pressing the call button, waiters take time to attend to clients.

Nice and cozy.
Good music, great food!
Awesome place to hangout with friends and family!
Restroom is very clean and portable!

You can use the round device on the table to call the attention of the waiters to order or pay.

It's my second visit and this time with my colleagues of Five28 Interiors, we explored the escape room for team work critical thinking and sketch restaurant to grace our taste buds.
It's a beautiful space that serves many spheres of relaxation.

The ambience of this restaurant is full of bold colors , it has a bit of complexity in the patterns and design . It's quite loud and eye catching.

The theme of this restaurant is lasgidi (Lagos ) .The menu was created in such a way that It would suit a variety of taste buds . It had Gourmet and street food (specifically Lagos street food Ewa Agoyin) .

Food Review
First thing we got was complementary Puff puff while we waited for the meals we ordered.

Milk shakes : I had banana milkshakes , I honestly would have preferred this a bit thicker because I love my milkshakes thick. It wasn’t bad at all but personally I like my milkshakes quite thick.

Pepper snail : I ordered pepper snail for starters. This was pretty crunchy and I enjoyed it a lot. Also I was asked how spicy I wanted it and I told them I wanted it moderately spiced and it was served just how I wanted it . I love the fact that they considered not everyone who walks through their door is Yoruba *wink wink*

Main meal : Grilled salmon fillet with mashed potatoes. This was my highlight, the salmon was mildly flavored and buttery , you can tell the marinade sunk in . I enjoyed every bit of it and the mashed potatoes salting was alright, it wasn’t bland or over the top .

Desserts : We got to try desserts off the menu being worked on ( No review on that because it’s still being worked on and not yet in the menu) .

Shout to the Chefs who explained the menu and gave us off the menu desserts and asked for our honest opinions

Service : A very big shout out to the wait staff that took our orders . She was funny , understood the menu like the back of her hands and extremely polite .

The Lagos Bistro is one of the four restaurants attached to the Discovery Museum Abuja (DMA).

The waiters that served me on the day were great. Even though, I like black colour, The waiters wore black shirt, trousers, socks and shoes. I wanted to ask one of them if they also wore black pants or boxers. I thought I shouldn’t push my luck. I was escorted to my choice of table promptly, brought the food and drinks menu on time. He listened and took my orders promptly.

Next he brought, the freshly fried puff puff to nibble on while I eagerly waited for my food. The puff puff was a mini meal, that would have made me full before the main meal. Just took 2 or 3 and resisted the others.

I sat at the nearest table to the Danfo converted bus because of the 3hp AC to cool me whilst eating. Unfortunately, a terrible shrieking noise from the blender for making smoothie was unbearable. Also, the AC did not get to any of the seats near me. I sat at the edge of my seat to get a tinny winny feel of the AC.

When the food came, the presentation, aroma, matched the taste. I must apologise for the messy pounded yam picture. I usually take the pictures before tucking into the food. The food was very delicious and the quantity was good.

Overall, the ambience was good. The toilet facilities were clean and all working well under the stairs downstairs. For the romantics, when you get upstairs in the restaurant, turn left. I sat on the right.

There's room upstairs, and outside. There's a gallery outside as well. It's a picture worthy place.
Apparently it has a lagos theme. Their food is pricy, I had ofada rice and sauce with plantain and egg. I had pinky frozen mocktail as well (it's lovely you should try it). Afterwards, there was a really nice person who asked for feedback so they could serve better.
The waiter paid attention to details.
Ohh it comes with complimentary puff puff????????????
