This place is popularly known as "Art u0026 Craft market." Although some people still refer to it as just Lekki Market. For them, it was a normal open market before art and craft shops gained dominance and popularity.

It is renowned for several art crafts that are getting close to extinction. They have a lot of abroad and oversea based customers. It's actually a 'bucket list' place.

They are friendly and like to educate people on their craft and wares. Even though the road that leads there is rickety and untarred, there's ample parking space within the premises.

This market opens proper from 10:30am and closes from 3pm.

The market is open from 9am to 6pm daily aside from Thursday which is from 10am to 6pm due to sanitation exercise.

The open-air market at Jakande, along the Lekki Eti-Osa express way, is a great place to buy a wide range of locally grown produce; it has two market days. It is a fine example of a local Nigerian market in Lagos. With a couple of stalls almost everything you could wish for is there: spices, meat and fish, fruit and vegetables, olis, fresh and dried fruits to vegetables, nuts, snail, garry, vinegars, rice, and even clothes and crafts. We went to the Saturday market because it's the biggest market day and one gets to sample a real taste of everything Nigerian. The stalls are open from 6:30am to 1830 hrs, so it is important to arrive early parking is 200 Naira. In addition, there are all kinds of linens, some ceramics, purses, shoes, belts, ladies clothing, and jewelry.
