The Wood House Café, located on Louis Drive, off Sani Abacha Road, GRA Phase 2, Port Harcourt is a cosy setup aimed at affording you all the comfort and ambience ideal for an intimate (or relaxing) experience.
The vicinity is situated in a not-so-conspicuous setting, making it difficult for first-timers to locate (as was the case in my experience). A much more noticeable signpost should be mounted for easy identification. Also, do not expect an expanse parking area, although there is provision for a paid parking lot, or you might as well just park by the road (if your stay would be brief).
The ambience of this café is set to bring you the options of either an outdoor or indoor experience. There is the provision of a hand wash basin for hygiene practices just by the entrance. The outdoor setting gives off a rustic feel (thanks to the adequate use of woods). On the other hand, the indoor setting is more retro in aesthetics and is just as relaxing as the outdoor setting.
The range of foods and drinks (which are fairly affordable) is somewhat overwhelming, but you can rest assured to get all the help you need from service attendants. Never mind, some items on the menu aren't always available.
The convenience is (to my amazement) gender neutral (I know!), ???? which shows how progressive Wood Café is. However, I was disappointed when I realised how next to no privacy it afforded (maybe it had something to do with space). ????u200d♀️
My experience here was okay (not spectacular), and I wouldn't mind stopping by for a quick meetup. The staff were great in their delivery of services and very helpful as well.
