Vehicular movement around here is, most of the times, very slow, not necessarily due to the intersection of the roads that make the junction, but, purely as a result of non- compliance to traffic rules/codes by unruly public transport operators. Reckless stop-n- pick/drop drivers are all over the place. Again, you cannot but talk about the attitudes of sellers of goods spilling over to the major roads adjoining this junction - they hamper free flow of traffic. However, credits must be given to the government which saw the need for flyover bridges to be built to ease the hectic gridlock that the junction was notorious for in the past. However, the government really needs to do more in terms of enforcements to see that this junction as a whole is decongested because of the huge traffic it takes on daily bases. Weekends are no exceptions either. Coming to security matters, it is not the best of places for pedestrians in the early hours of the morning or at dusk, even a motorist should exercise a high level of alertness when driving through this area. Talking about Elements Junction, it is difficult not to mention the popular Oil Mill market situated at this junction which has every Wednesday as its day even though buying and selling take place there on daily basis. If it can be avoided, motorists should jettison going towards that axis on Wednesdays for obvious reasons.
