Pathetic HMO service when it comes to normal clinic. They keep you embraced and waiting at the hospital reception with their never ending back to back negotiation on price with the hospital. You can be stranded for hours and they might even stop responding to the hospital. Unlike my other previous HMO that you are attended to immediately. This HMO will frustrate you, avoid it if you can

Hygeia is overated. I had to change my HMO. Total Health Trust is underrated. The best I've seen so far.

The worst Hmo in Nigeria,delay patients for hours just to get codes and approval for treatment,there was a day i had to wait from 11am till past 4pm before they responded, I have lost counts of their delay in getting approval, they will tell you that you are not covered for this and that,i just wish i have power to change to better hmo but the unfortunate part is that i dont have control over it.

There's no parking allocated to visitors, however, I met a driver (staff of Hygeia) who was very gracious and helpful in securing a spot for us to park. The front desk officer was super rude, and unwilling to provide assistance when I had a meeting scheduled. She kept me waiting and couldn't even be bothered to get up or make a call to the appropriate team for the meeting. Luckily, I met a lovely lady (forgot to get her name) who walked in while I was trying to educate the front desk officer on how to do her job, and she managed to salvage the situation. The front desk officer is definitely not a positive representation of the Hygeia brand, except if they're trying to build a brand of nonchalance and unprofessionalism.

The call up process for codes when enrollees come to the hospital is very poor. You could spend up to an hr waiting for a code before a consultant can see you. During the lock down, there was no customer service accessible, calls are not picked and hospitals cannot get any assistance either.

All the doctors, consultants, nurses and housekeepers i have met are well trained and professional. Best practice and advance investigations and treatments. Admission wards are decent, hospital meals excellent. Oh! Best NICU and staff especially Mrs. Ugbede Blessing
