Yes there is a difference between hotels according to the star rating. You should understand the hotel star rating system.

1 Star: Basic room options, shared bathroom facilities in some cases and a vending machine near the lobby where meals are self-served.

2 Star: Basic room options, colour tv and an in-house bar/restaurant.

3 Star: Multiple room options, restaurant, gym facilities and conference room/ business facilities available.

4 Star: Multiple rooms/ suite options, restaurants and bars on site, business facilities, concierge services, swimming pool, gym and creche.

5 Star: Luxury accommodation with all of the above facilities and more.

Therefore, the services offered by these hotels too differ. Ex: Kwara Hotel has rooms with pristine bathrooms and good size beds. It also has a play park and a stadium nearby.

Base on this Amir Suite (Amir Guest House) is a 2 star hotel.

It was quite manageable as there was constant electricity supply but the food from the restaurant was below par. Also the room we stayed had no shower and wasn't throughly cleaned.

Amir Guest house is quite cozy at the reasonable rates at which rooms are offered.
Running water and guaranteed electricity all through my stay and the water heater works beautiful (always a plus for me).
However regular maintenance and cleaning would go a long way in improving the lot of this Guest house as the toilets need need some upgrading.

It's really a nice place with room rate of 7500. Electricity over night and good food too.
