Pearlwort Hotels and suites is located on Impressive close and shares the close with LASPARK, a Lagos state agency.
All these in Alausa, Lagos state, Nigeria, one can easily get to the local or International airport from here as well as Berger, if you are travelling by road.
It is quite affordable depending on one’s taste and the services on display. It has got ample dining, conference room , a large sitting area at the reception desk on the ground floor as well as a lounge on every floor ( four floors and a penthouse).

It has got a ramp, thus wheel-chair accessible from the reception floor (through the lift) up to the penthouse. A wheelchair user may experience difficulty accessing the parking which is located under the building unless the lift is opened to get there .

The customer service, services ranging from the room service, cleaning service , laundry service are all top notch. The breakfast was not as fascinating as I would have expected but that can pass.

They also have a shuttle to convey lodgers to and fro from point of arrival or departure

Pearlwort is worth a visit.

If you are looking for hospitality then you shouldn't come here. If you are looking for empathy then you also shouldn't come here either.

The other day I was waiting by the reception and a guest came to complain. She said she was here for a conference and they had been served lunch at the conference location. She couldn't eat lunch because she was fasting. After she prayed she came downstairs to ask if the food could be warmed for her to eat and the staff answered her unpleasantly saying hotel policy doesn't allow that. No one of the staff could consider the fact that this woman hadn't eaten all day. They just sent her away very rudely.

Why couldn't they collect a small fee, let's say 500 naira to help her warm up the food?

This morning on my way to work I went by the restaurant to get my breakfast to go and I was met with the same hostility. I have gotten my breakfast to go here before, I was charged for the packaging and I didn't mind. What does the hotel intend to do with the excess food after you've turned away all your customers. You claim the room comes with free breakfast but I can't get my breakfast to go? Is this the hospitality they taught you? Make it make sense please.

I had a 5 nights stay at this hotel recently and was a varied experience of good and bad points.

It's popular for residential and non-residential meetings with the state ministry as it is a few mins from the state secretariat. I think this has made them rest on their laurels.

Rooms
The rooms are spacious with very comfy bed and pillows. I had to change my room over an hour after check-in as the AC wasn't cooling despite being on 16 degrees Celsius. I changed my room at great inconvenience, having unpacked, to discover hours later that the hot water lasted approximately 3 mins before turning cold. I had cold showers the whole stay as I couldn't start moving again.

Two colleagues complained of leaking showers and one had to change her room as the floor was completely flooded when she returned at the end of the day.

The rooms are not sound proof and I could hear conversations and music from the next room.

Restaurant/Food
On arrival, I ordered a burger from the menu and was told 40 mins later that burgers were unavailable! The breakfast buffet was practically the same every morning with little or no variety. The food was always cold - omelette, waffles, sausages (please change brand) most especially. The continental buffet options were sparse with more of local breakfast options - rice, spaghetti, yam, sweet potatoes! The N4,500 price may explain a lot though.

When ordering from the menu, expect a 90-120 mins delay even though you are told 45 mins. However, the food did taste good when it did arrive.

Customer service
The reception staff were really helpful but some of the restaurant staff need customer service training as some came off as rude and having a bad attitude.

Location
The hotel is located at the bottom of a slope with no nice scenery around it. The traffic right at the junction during the evenings can be a pain. It took the uber driver over an hour to navigate that traffic.

Good maintenance and improved customer service will make this hotel worthwhile.

My room here was spacious and beautiful, and the hotel staff were cordial. However, their breakfast buffer isn't advisable. The food was served out without chaffing dishes, so it was cold. The hotdogs were also not well done, amongst other things.

Besides the breakfast disaster, my stay was good.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and even though their service it's very poor it never bothered me cuz I usually stay there after a trip so all I needed is a good night sleep but this last time was such a terrible experience, after their sentra AC had an issue and it took them about 2 hours to fix it, the AC in my room keep tripping off every 10 minute and after calling several times I went downstairs to beg for a change of room and I was ignored only to be told that the guy that can fix it is not around I could not even get 2 hours of sleep their lack of concern for their client it's extremely irritating I will not recommend it! The place needs a better management.

This is a good hotel that is located in Alausa Ikeja, close to the Lagos State Government offices, it is not far from the airport and just a walking distance from Ikeja shopping mall where you can get everything you need as it has lots of restaurants, pubs, drug store, supermarkets, boutiques, and even a cinema where you get to see the latest movies. The hotel is also located in a highly secured part of Lagos. And if you are a lover of afro-beats, the highly acclaimed African shrine is located just a stone throw away from the hotel where you can go have fun at night.
