The new fela shrine, located on the Ikeja axis of Lagos State is a popular place where daily activities go on and was built in commiseration of the legend Fela Anikolapokuti, where he is celebrated annually in an event known as Felabration. The place is a home to various set of people and other businesses.

The door staff were rude and nonchalant. The staff inside went on about their business (which was doing nothing). Should be a hub, but will only be a raving place once a year

I visited for the first on a Felabration week so it was extremely rowdy. Still, it was clear that "Shrine", as it's commonly referred to, is a vibe! There is a community of people there that remain in touch with indigineois Nigerian music artists and whatever fusion of genres they were currently experimenting with. Decades later, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti continues to have such a strong influence on the present generation of musicians.

The palm wine was great company too! ????
