Pros:
I want to give it more stars because one of the waitresses was very kind and attentive. I wish I remembered her name. The maitre d was also very kind and punctual. I liked the fact that the food was served at any time, but the portion size was very small. Plenty of options though. They offered free breakfast for one of the guests staying (it would have been nice had they provided it for all guests in the room, but it's okay).
The outdoor seating was quite comfortable. I believe I enjoyed being outdoors of the hotel most. And again, the waitress was amazing and polite.
Light, light, light, light! Power was definitely a plus. The power only went out once, but was back on in a matter of minutes, less than 5 minutes. That's a HUGE plus for Naija! ????
I felt quite secure in its little compound.
Cons:
The biggest set backs were the smell of the fumigation that filled the halls and room. I felt very sick and overwhelmed by the smell. I am asthmatic, so that was not a pleasant experience for me. Even at one point we were called to tell we would have to move rooms because they needed to fumigate. When I got to my final destination, all of the clothing in my suitcase smelled of whatever pesticide or insecticides were used during the fumigation.
There was standing water in the shower when showering and it didn't feel pleasant on my feet, even though I was wearing shower shoes. There was mildew and build up on the floor, so having that water on my feet wasn't very good. There was so much buildup on the shower head, so I spent a bit of time clearing it out so that the water could do more than drip.
There were some moments when the toilet did not flush.
The pool was very cold, but I imagine on a hot, hot day, that would be pleasant. The pool was small with a slippery bottom. Considering the size of the lot, even though small, pool was a pleasant surprise. After some time of being in the pool, it did become tolerable.
Despite the low rating, I would "possibly" stay here again. The price was reasonable and you definitely couldn't get a hotel with this kind of service in America for 17k a night.
