Was okay, very small. There's ATM there and it also prints out mints notes. There's a book stand (personally, I love places with book stands) gift shops, tuck shops, jewelry store, restroom, parking lot etc. Basically things an airport should have.

Couldn't take pictures as there were people everywhere, I don't feel it's appropriate to upload pictures with other people's faces online.

It does not look like a place that has been renovated as the government claims. It's a bit rowdy with some dysfunctional equipment, incompetent staff who are more interested in tips and bribes than their actual jobs. They are not even ashamed of the begging in the first place. As for the departure lounge, it's no different from bus park with inferior rickety seats. It does not look like an international airport in anyway, not even a good domestic airport.

I flew in from Lagos and I must say, the airport was quite crowded and seemingly disorganized when I got there. This was because everyone was trying to get their luggage at the same time and it just seemed like a really small place.

The toilet was neat though and the staff was friendly.

There was also an ATM right in the airport which was actually very wonderful. There were also cabs and taxi services right there

A problem? There was no chair or comfortable waiting area.

The gate isn't too far from the airport itself, it's a trekkable distance. Even the military men there were quite friendly and one of them even helped me stop a vehicle to take me because he saw the way I was struggling with my luggage ????

So yh, not a bad experience overall but I think a waiting area is important in an airport, in the very least.

The Airport is fine, but the car park is very small for an international Airport.
I am there now and vehicles are looking for where to park.
Their restaurant is far from the airport.

My first visit to Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu was on a school practicum held on the 4th of November 2021. It is for international and local flight. Currently, the Ethiopian Airline is the only international airline available.
The Terminal building consists of:
1) International Departure
2) International Arrival
3) Local Departure
4) Local Arrival
Port Health Services is rendered as they strictly observe the COVID 19 protocols and other medical precautions as regards seeking the safety of the public health wise.

Service is really improving at the airport. I'm very impressed

This is one of Nigeria's major airport. The airport is wonderful and customer friendly. It receives a huge number of passengers (it is situated within a business hub/region of Nigeria) flying to different Nigerian cities as well as outside Nigeria. It is hoped that in time more international flights (and airlines) are routed through this airport.
And finally a shout out to Air Peace. I enjoyed my flight while aboard one of your airlines.
