From the adire tie and die to the sculpture and artworks, there was a story to tell for each piece.

For lovers of Art. This gallery will be a delight. The art works on display are very indigenous to the Yoruba culture. The building itself is very old and I am happy it is well preserved with its wooden staircase and decking.
And if you are interested you can pay visit to the workshop too which is not too far from the gallery.

This is a gentle reminder of how the legendary artist, Chief Mrs Nike Davies-Okundaye evolved to become a world renowned personality in the arts sphere.
Although, the franchise has 4 branches across Nigeria with plans of expansion, Nike Centre for Arts and Culture surpasses all because of it's rich history.
Mama Nike's journey as an artist and the influence of Mama Susanne Wenger can be properly observed through some of the works displayed in the gallery.

Feels like a shadow of itself. No tour guide available. Place now looks unkempt. There wasn't even sufficient power or sunlight to observe well and snap pictures. But then, the areas we were able to see had really good and ancient looking artworks. I guess a Saturday morning isn't one of the best times to visit there...
