Better parking since it got a new management.
Has a separate market called the "village market" with more condiments than the main market.
Clear walkways and easily Access stores.
Practically every shopping need is available at the Makurdi Modern Market.
The chicken abattoir could do with a bit more sanitation.

This place is a shadow of itself. The market has been deserted by major traders as a result of constant fire outbreaks. Things are not longer as cheap as it used to be. The slogan "food basket of the nation" is not applicable to this as things are now very expensive. I will not recommend this market to anyone. There is a bush market section I am not too sure of how expensive things are there, one could try, they might just be lucky. Kindly note that the bush market section is mostly food stuffs or groceries.

The Market Authorities are currently carrying out renovation work.The place is okay for a local market.It can't be compared with other markets I have visited in big cities.
