I loved the ambience of this place. Attended Sunday brunch and it was a really good experience.

The food was also great. Tasted really good. Chef is amazing.

I had the platter of 4 and... well, let's say my group of 8 were well fed.

I'm taking away one star because there's quite a delay in service. The time between when you order and when your food arrives is insane. It'll help if the owners of the establishment gives you something to nibble on while waiting.

There's ample parking space and sitting areas inside, upstairs and outside. You can take mirror selfies upstairs.

Overall, I'd visit again.

Try the pancakes and pepper soup when you drop in.

I visited south some years back and I was disappointed. Decided to try them out again. So, I went there for their Sunday brunch and I was disappointed again! Lol.
Firstly, they got our order wrong. Ordered off the Chinese menu and this is what they came with. At least a lady (i don’t know if that was their manager) was able to sort that out for us when my friend and I complained about it).
Secondly, the egg was tasteless and the pasta just had too much spice (i don’t mean pepper). It was so much that it didn’t just have the right flavor… not sure if I explained that well. The chicken wings were basic.
The only thing I enjoyed were the sangrias.
The food was so bad when we left the restaurant we forgot our packed food on the table In the restaurant.
Plus it’s brunch, why is the music so loud!!! And why does brunch end at 5pm?
Definitely not eating there again.

New update

the food at South has greatly improved again. Service is so so. But the food has gotten a lot better and it comes out quicker than you expect

The best service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. The waiters and waitresses are super helpful. The food is delicious and arrives on time (we had to tell them to hold our mains because we were still having starters when it was ready). Everything is great. The cocktails are amazing. They're actually sweet (which is what I think cocktails should be).

It's great for groups (it's best to make a reservation, especially if you're more than 4), and the space is absolutely amazing for pictures.

Prices are a bit above average but still not too expensive.

Too crowded, could barely stand comfortably and there was nowhere to just sit and enjoy a drink. Couldn't get drinks because there were a lot of people. Not wheelchair accessible, music wasn't so good, no parking space, had to park a mile away and then walk to the club. In the end, I had to leave for another club.

I would suggest expansion.

Because it was South Socials on a Friday night, I can't say much about dining experience. It was more of a rave than a restaurant (as it should be). You could tell everyone was having fun.
P.S be very careful with their Long Island drink

Very unfortunate experience. My son and I ordered the famous French burger and after waiting for almost an hour, we were told that the burger was unavailable. At the time, we were the only customers. Dirty walls. Dirty tiles. Unkempt surroundings. Poor lighting. Very disappointing.
