A federal government owned neuropsychiatric hospital located at yaba in lagos state. It caters for the psychiatric needs of people staying in lagos. It was established during the colonial era and has undergone a lot of renovations over the years. It also serves as a training centre for resident doctors who eventually become consultant psychiatrist. The centre is also involved in research. It is an affordable tertiary health care center.

Federal neurologist psychiatrist hospital is in Yaba community in Lagos he was gorverment hospital for mental illness people which is a special hospital for mental people section, with different department section for treatment for different sickness. Organize with work well doctor, with good equipment manage well with organization.partner with some NGO.work together make thier work perfect.

It's the biggest mental health hospital in Lagos State. Runs regular clinics daily, and emergency services 24/7.

It's a choice place to visit for psychiatry related medical care. Compound is well structured except for scarce car parking spaces at peak hours.

It's popularly referred to as "yaba left" among locals, a subtle derogatory term that is commonly used on the street to describe its location on the left side of Yaba bus stop. It's not clear if this help shield the stigma associated with mental illnesses or it is some way of tagging people who visit the facility for care.

Either way, when you say Yaba left, an average lagosian knows you are referring to this place.

FNPHY has different wards and different departments that makes the hospital effective, and they also conduct quite a number of research. Many people don't know this but there's an annex at oshodi, section for children and a ward for rehabilitation, tho not fully equipped by the government, the workers try their very best to ensure adequate treatment, for all patients.

It's about the best and only federal neurological hospital in Lagos. It's a large facility and everything is well-structured. They also have good staff that take care of patients well.
