I had a bad experience with a certain lady Doctor Ayorinde who treated my son today. From the start, she was already making veiled shaming comments about the poor state of my son's teeth, which I took well, but the main problem began with her threatening to beat my 6 year old for exaggerating/ faking the pain, crying loudly and wriggling out of her reach during his procedure, instead of trying to calm him down. I was asked to wait outside as it seemed my presence was making him dramatic with the pain. When they called on me that they were done, she told me that on his upcoming appointment she would not bother seeing him if he behaves the same way.. I later learnt from the boy that she made good her threat by continously hitting his hand with her instrument and even called him names such as "naughty boy!", "I don't want a patient like you!".
I mean, even though they insisted the procedure was painless, pain could be psychological and you really can't feel someone else's pain, not even as a doctor.
You don't have a business being a doctor If you act this way with any type of patient, old or young, strong or weak, esp in a private hospital where we pay out of pocket for treatment! Needless to say I will not be visiting again.
