The hotel didn't have power supply when I visited at about 5pm on a Sunday ????, I enquired from the receptionist when power will be restored he said soon and also added that there was no guarantee that it will be available all through the night. That notwithstanding I still checked the room meant to go for N15000 to see if I could manage, the room looked tacky, the windows was wide open with no net.. I ran for my dare life.

This is one of the absolute awful hotels I have been in. It's not worth the price attached to it. I paid N15,000/night to be tortured.

The first room I was given had no covering for the bathroom window. It was totally open and gave access to mosquitoes. The AC is the old version, placed on the floor (who places AC on the floor), and had openings around the edge that they tried covering with newspapers. I was there for less than 5 minutes and I had become a warrior trying to kill flies and mosquitoes.

I begged to add more money and be taken to other rooms. Climbed 3 flight of stairs severally, searching for a better room, and there was none. The last one I went for had water on the toilet floor. The cleaner came to clean it, but the floor became half-flooded later.

There are no sockets by the bed side. The wardrobe had junks in it. It probably has not been cleaned for weeks. The AC was very noisy all through and because of its positioning, only succeeded in blowing my legs and making it cold. Nowhere else.

Did I mention the stairs? Whoever constructed it should be beaten severally. Going up the stairs feels like you are hiking because of the angle and shape. Coming down feels like you would fall any minute.

The only good thing out of this was the receptionist (Adewunmi). She explained that the hotel was under new management. The past management had abandoned the hotel and left it in a deplorable state. Sadly, the new management has also not decided to renovate the rooms yet.

I would definitely not revisit and wouldn't advice anyone to, till the new management fixes the hotel up. It has so much potential as it's located close to Ikeja City Mall and Ojota.

All 3 meals I had were great. Customer service was good. The rooms however need renovation and maintenance. Some part of the wall had paint already peeled. Some sockets were not working, while others were loosely attached to the wall. The toilet looked shabby. Couldn't use the wardrobe as it was mouldy and stuffy.

Cheap and affordable, service is fair.

This is a budget hotel located around Ikeja, Lagos. The price ranges from #8,000 to about #20,000 and above. They have nice staff, a good security system and good food if one so desire. The rooms are equipped with water heating systems, nice and cosy beds and mattresses and good wardrobes. If you are a lover of orthopaedic mattresses, you will like this hotel. The location makes it a hotbed for civil servants, businessmen and travellers.

City view hotel is a hood place to rest and lodge either as a weekender or as a transit place. The staffs are courteous and very diligent. I was I really reluctant to lodge there being an old hotel but I was amazed at the reception and the service received. Despite the hotel being around for a while yet it is well maintained and every facility are well maintained and perfectly working. The excellent hospitable service of the front desk crew is highly commendable. I enjoyed the 3 days that I spent in the hotel. There is no disturbance and rush for payment. They allowed you to pay at your convenience. This is exceptional.

The bed is quite comfortable but the window air conditioner makes a lot of noise. They should upgrade all there ACs to Split. The service is very poor as I had no towel in my room. The water heater was not functioning as well and no one to answer the intercom. A lot need to be done about safety too as some miscreants kept banging at my door in the morning.
