Went for a function and would say it wasn't a bad venue.

Was at the open field (expectedly) and the soldiers were there at the gate to ensure compliance.

However, I was shocked at some of the unbecoming behavior of the cadets. They were openly soliciting for tips; which I found quite shocking, as the military was always known to be disciplined compared to others.

The way unauthorized people were allowed into the venue was also appalling. All sorts of characters were let in deliberately and it was a chaotic affair as they solicited for alms like it was some war zone. One would have expected better, being a military establishment. They should do better.

Couldn't access the Mess itself, so I can't give a rating.

Warming reception and delicious meals available for guests to the Mess.

The mess is spacious enough to host events and parties. Table tennis board is there for recreation. There is also a chalet for lodging. Adequate security is ensured inside the mess. Different types of food and peppersoup are sold and also barbecue fish. Assorted beers and soft drinks are available except liquor. There are indoor and outdoor services. Restrooms are pretty good. Again, parking lot is tremendously spacious to accommodate as many cars as possible.

No wheelchair accessible entrance.
COVID-19 protocols partially followed.
Using the compound for events and parties could breach security.

Tiger Officers' Mess is close to the seat of government of Oyo state, an area known for it's serene and security guard. A lot of fun spots around, you can play games, go to the bar, relax and even lodge overnight.

Very nice and serene environment. The security is top notch. And unlike the popular myth that soldier's are harsh. The ones here are exceptionally polite.
