Had fun here. Had a dinner here. Had several dinners here. Space is good. Secure. So you actually enjoy your time out at night. Finger foods and soups is a favorite here. Great space to catch the game. Cool music you can shake your head to. A water depot just around here for Aquadana and Aquarite.

It's popularly known as housing roundabout because the State Housing Corporation office is located here.

More correctly, there is nothing square about this place, the round-about is an intersection of the point where Osuntokun avenue meets with Awolowo Avenue. There is big mosque building here, a number of smaller church buildings, a playing field and a police station. I guess all that together makes it a square..lol.

The Independence Square many years ago was a spot where the inhabitants of Old Bodija used to relax. You could read a book, play, nibble on snacks there. The current Pentonerise was a Supermarket (Palm Chemist) and Pharmacy. The Structure before the Police Station too had supermarket (BnB) Supermarket and Later another Bodija Supermarket. Victus Suya was also around there. When you buy Suya and Snacks, you can sit around and Eat at the Independence Square.
A standard Tennis Court and A football field were near. There was also A plan then for Bodija Estate recreation Centre in the Current Location of the Mosque.
Today, The Solid Bricks Seats around the Square have been moved away the Almond trees have been cut off. The Almond trees were tall and Allowed for good light between the foliages. But it's all dark now because of the kind of trees and It's Only Mad men who sit there these days.

This site is old but maintained. It provides a restive place for passers by to chill out when the sun is high.
