A very well organised and neat train station. Parking arrangement is not as expected but customer service delivery is excellent. The train came on time and it was a very nice and smooth ride.

The station is clean and well maintained. I would advise being at the station at least 30mins before the train leaves for the next destination.
To purchase a ticket, you'll need a valid ID
For a trip to Lagos from Ibadan, standard class costs N2600 and business class costs N4000

The train station is the first place I'll rate a five star on Google... That's because it's virtually flawless. The station "Obafemi Awolowo Train Station" is well constructed and well maintained as at the time I was there.
The ticketing area was neat and orderly although a working POS would have helped as opposed to the "cash only" transaction we all had to comply with.
We were all duly a credited with our photo ID cards... I used a drivers license.
The train arrived and took off promptly at 08:00 hours for Lagos.
It was a bit odd for me that the train seemed to move backwards but, I'd since learned that trains do not turn round only the engines do a turnaround never the caboose.
The ride to Lagos was fairly smooth but, we stopped at a number of stations.
Seats were comfortable... I traveled in the executive class of coach at ₦4,000.
It was a memorable experience. A trip I'll do all over again as soon as I have a chance.

It was neat but the rest room could be better, especially with the provision of toiletries. Shopping for edible items should also be provided in the complex and not the distant location

The ride was a smooth one, and they were on-time. Their scheduled time was prompt, their 4pm departure time was 4pm. Although I was told that a few days before they didn’t depart until 6pm. Thats on Sallah day itself, I’d like to assume it was due to the holidays. Also, I’d advise to get there a few minutes earlier so you can get your tickets without the hassle.

This is a very nice experience. Having to ride a train from Ibadan to Lagos without any hitch.
Dou yesterday , we heard the train stopped due to shortage of diesel fuel but I guess everything had been sorted out and when I boarded things were fine and on point.
The stewards did well and customer service are also top notch.
Try and give this a trial and u will be wowed.
