My visit to the place was revealing. The place is a good tourist centre, the government both state and federal are not maintaining the place, not to talk of improvement. You can view the brown roofs of the ancient Ibadan city and good aerial view of the metropolis. It's the 'Layipo' peculiar to Ibadan. The place was built by the colonial masters and was named in the name of Sir. Bower, the colonial master at the time.
It's unfortunate we have allowed the potentials of this historical monument untapped. It can be a money spinner, apart from social and aesthetic benefits.
The government can collaborate with the willing private and corporate bodies to preserve and upgrade the monument. Nice and interesting to be there.
