It's okay, not that bad. Has large rooms and single rooms with Air Conditioning system. Quite affordable.

Solab Suites is an average hotel. I gave it 5 stars because of the nice atmosphere there.

First, my fiancée and I got there when it just resumed services after the long COVID-19 lockdown.

The compound was dusty but clean - no paper or bottles littering the environment. But you could see the dusty, musty atmosphere everywhere.

Same goes for the rooms. Dusty.

They cleaned out the cobwebs and really helped to get the room tidy up.

Second, I would say the staff are good. And friendly too. Probably give them 9/10.

I had no issues with them. I love them and the services they offer.

Third, the rooms are OK. The AC works perfectly. The refrigerator is super cold and freezes quickly. It's spacious enough for the price. There's a working table and chair. Best part, they have a 2-seater for visitors in the room.

The bathroom has a bathtub and a water heater (which takes hours to heat up though). We were given all needed toiletries and other room materials.

There's a central bar where you can chill out and kill the time. No swimming pool though.

Last but not the least, there's no stable electricity supply.

The hotel promises to serve electricity from 7pm to 6am. Most times, if at all they met up with the 7pm, they usually off their gen at exactly 12am.

They won't give you light throughout the day. You only depend on the public electricity. And that's unstable too.

Overall remarks: Solab Suites is a nice place for its price. It's one of the cheapest hotels in Akure. But the service is exceptional.

Water issue: I was made to understand the hotel has just one water tank and when those lodging in rooms in the main building turn on their taps, those in the adjoining bungalow get deprived of running water.

Insect raid: Insects are free living organisms too. But when the are present in large numbers in a hotel, that becomes a problem.
