Block C is the largest block in the Akindeko Hall of Residence.
Akindeko Hall of Residence is an Undergraduate Male Hostel in the Federal University of Technology Akure, Ondo State. The hall of residence was named after Prof Gabriel Akindeko.
There are blocks A-E in the hostel, together with some extensions.
Akindeko hostel, popularly referred to as the heartbeat of Futa, houses geniuses, dullards, leaders, followers and varieties of students.
Block C is a singular model of Akindeko Hall of Residence. It contains the different varieties of students you could ever think of. As against the 4 students per room in other blocks, Block C is designed to accommodate 6 students per room, which gives rise to the population of students in the block. Ever since 2015 till date (2019) there has been no room with not at least, 1 squatter. There has always been 1 or 2 squatters per room. You can imagine the population of students from that block alone.
Block C is the most lively room in Akindeko Hall of Residence. Equally, it has been the dirtiest hostel, until when Futa Alumni Association took it upon themselves to renovate the block (Block C in Particular).
If you're the gentle type, and one who doesn't like noise or disturbance, I'll advice not to go near Block C. But if you're the social type, who likes to 'gyrate' , go for Block C.
Lastly, it's important to say that Block C has always been the winner of competitions organized within the hostel, followed by Block B.
