Whilst the newly renovated market has made for easy location of distinct sellers and their quality products, the roads leading out of Sabon Gari market remains a horrid nightmare for every vehicle handler using that route.

The environment looks civil and is presentable though. We hope the government would do something about the roads soon.

Actually Sabon gari market has almost all of the market components now even though their are some uncompleted buildings (shops) but at least the market is very nice.

The blocks aren't serially well number, bit the shops on blocks are.
The traders are not sectionalized/departmentised, so you can't really say you're going to a section of the market to get a particular item synonymous to that section.

The shops now are well arrange even if you have never been to the market before u can get what you want easily do to the structure now

The Sabon Gari market is the main market in Zaria town and it's being modenised by replacing the old traditional market stalls with modern ones, which are adequately spaced and with modern amenities like electricity water and drainage system
No doubt it's a welcome development to its teeming customers and traders
It's hoped that the pace of development of the remaining areas will be fastened.

Part of the Market known as Kasuwan Mata is currently the next phase of the ongoing rehabilitation and modernisation of the Market. The old existing structures are being demolished.

The ongoing rehabilitation of Kasuwan Mata is at a rather slow pace.

At my visit to today after about 10 weeks, the surrounding roads around the market are all very crowded with traders who are temporarily relocating from the market now under construction. The work has slowed down considerably.
