Well-located solidly-built Hotel on very large, well-apportioned grounds with properly-spaced different sections for sundry party/events and relaxation, and for sundry cooking and roasting too; proper pool and adequate poolside; and generally 24/7 electricity. More than sufficient parking space within the premises which assures security and privacy. Clean environment that is regularly kept clean. A functional Bank opposite.
But it's seriously underutilized, a crying waste of an otherwise wonderful place!
It thus NEEDS to be reactivated by a good Management, sufficient PR and publicity, and good events-planning.
Beds are ok, AC-rooms are large, with good TV. But the furniture, doors, and fabrics need replacement and/or upgrading, and fridges put in the rooms. Bath tubs should be removed and bathrooms redone with more modern bath-facilities.
The NDLEA Facility across the road may be a very small minus, especially for drug-minded clientele, but I never even saw any of the Operatives, or any interference from them.
Large dining Sections, but wash-hand basins should be transferred from the gents (where they currently are) into the dinning rooms proper. Many people would not like to go into the toilet to wash their hands before, or while, eating, or even after eating.
I didn't sample their food, but I was assured it was ok.
I hope the new Management makes out good, and be able to resist the trending "yahoo boys" and their excesses which tend to drive away decent and respectable persons from otherwise good Hotels.
