A fantastic local market! The largest local market in Uyo city, sited at the beginning of Ikot Ekpene Road.
This local market holds every seven days (days that fall on Sunday automatically hold on Mondays).
One can find a wide range of items here at very competitive prices.
These items comprise especially of clothes, shoes and bags, however one can still find a wide range of food stuffs as well as kitchen utensils and common household items.

Well, it does seem to have everything one is looking for except turkeys. I wish they'd sell turkeys here the way the sell chickens. Any way I like how it has more businesses on the said market days.
The market is ok, small by a general standard but nevertheless ok. You can get most of what you want out of your general shopping here.

It is a very busy market, one that demands a certain level of discomfort while shopping- which is expected. Prices of things are relatively fair and cheap, and the options available make it a solid plus especially for groceries and food items.

Itam Market is a daily market but majorly sets aside a day of the week to trade. That's when merchants from far and wide come to trade their wares.
