It's a place where archives of the old sokoto caliphate are stored. The sokoto political heroes, scholars, merchants and their memories are also kept there.

At the time of this post, the legendary Sir Ahmadu Bello's vehicle was still very much present.

It still has the bullet hole as history has put it, and still looks as classy as it can be.

History has it that the Sardauna had drove that car himself, which shows how classy men were at those times.

We arrived at this centre on a Saturday evening and as such were not able to get entrance, but then the iconic feeling gotten from this place was legendary.

I'd recommend this tour to anyone coming into Sokoto State.

A great history bureau where you can find detailed history especially of the sokoto caliphate. There are books, manuscripts, artifacts etc

Lovely walk through history. It's a shame that our government does not prioritise the funding and preservation of such historic centres

It's really a historical place, many leftover things from Sardauna and Usmanu Danfodio era. Good place for history students to make research.

I found the story from the tour guide amazing. You will see the pictures of old and that of the Queen of England before you were born!

This place needs serious restoration. There are too many valuable manuscripts in its archives for it to crumble under the dust. Ask about Nana Asmau.
