Sokoto state university was established to provide for the indigenes of Sokoto state to access higher education for self-reliance by encouraging and promoting the advancement of learning, and to hold out all persons without discrimination of race, creed or political conviction. This has immensely identified and produced manpower that can and will meet the specific needs of the state.

Sokoto state university is a state owned university located in Sokoto, northwest Nigeria. The university was founded in 2009 and since then has produced highly competent graduates in different fields. The university offers a cheap tuition to its student and chances are it would have a relatively high student population considering its location.

The University would be mostly filled with northerners and Muslims, so we dont believe the student body is culturally diverse. The university however has no religious affiliation and admits students from different parts of the country. Sokoto state university offers bachelors degree programs in education, sciences, social science, arts and management courses.

Sokoto state university school fees is very cheap and it is most likely not above one hundred thousand naira and it offers accommodation to its students and also has other infrastructure like good buildings, good roads etc.
