The building that host the hotel is nice , the reception is ok .. the room is nothing to write home about... The tv is covered with dust , the fridge looks dirty, the bathroom looks filthy, the a/c makes so much noise yet cools so little .
How can a bar run out of water and advice a patron to go and buy water from a shop.
You even have to request for a towel to get the old discolored one.
It really was not a good experience.

Very easily accessible, in a good location.
Services: Average
Rooms are very nicely furnished and clean

They can do better with regards customer satisfaction

The place was OK. It's cheap too if you're looking for an affordable hotel. There's 6k, 7500 and so on rooms

It's a nice place if you're looking for where to lay your head for the night. Checked a friend in and the rooms weren't really what I expected but the staffs we met were nice and it was okay. Not great but okay.

Friend stayed in the standard room so I can comment on the other rooms

There is a lot of Mosquitoes in this hotel rooms and the bathroom system for the room that I stayed in wasn't functioning. I called them and ask them about it before booking based on the reviews that i read, they told me that everything is fixed. I complained about the toilet not working in my room and they refused to fix it until I checked out. 3 ???? for the few nice staffs including the gate man who cleaned my super dirty car. Will I logde here again? Probably No.

Although mosquitoes seem to be one of the common features all hotels/lodges in Owerri have in common, you're sure to sleep better here.
Very affordable and with amazing customer service support.

Most hostels in Owerri with their price range actually look like haunted homes, in terms of how dilapidated the infrastructure would be. But East Gate is quite an exception to that.
