Ota Efun Market is a very popular market situated between Oshogbo - Ikirun Road in Olorunda Local Government. The market is beside NIPCO Petrol Station and opposite of a motor park.
The market sells all kinds goods in and outside shops. There were also some who hawked goods.
A visit to the food section reveals all kind of food stuffs which are uncommon to a Lagosian. I realised that more northerners sold pepper ???? than indigent.
Pepper, Tomotaoes, Onions and other spices, palm and groundnut oil, tumeric and ginger, among others made the northerners' goods.
Others sold rice, beans, yam, potatoes, garri, elubo, and other millable grains.
Snacks, both baked and unbaked where evenly sold. There were noodles, sperggetti, biscuits, sweets, and other childlike snacks sold in whole sales.
Many were curious as I took the pictures of the market community, they wondered if I was a spy or a government agent. The community sold all locally made goods and food stuffs (such as Ewedu, Ila, Efo, Local herbs and suppliments) at the cheapest prices ever.
A man hawked Rat poison. I shocked me to see rat ???? poison of different types and use.
Pure (satchet) water ???? was sold by many underage.
I was told that it is a market day. The market opens for large sales every five days according to Yòrúba customer.
Other items available for sale were Plantains, Clothes, Soft drinks, Fruits like oranges ????, mangoes, pawpaw, carrots, and so on.
Children hawked water, wool, tissue papers, Cottons, Nylon and Plastics.
I noticed a POS service which alot use where there isn't sufficient money for purchase.
Businesses like carriers, transportation, market help, etc
There is a good road network to and from the market to any part of Oshogbo and beyond.
There is a public toilets ???? with options of bush path for those who can't afford the service.
Indeed, Ota Efun Market is a good place to shop ????.
