I was looking for a place to eat local Benue food, I was referred to this restaurant and I can tell you I enjoyed it and did experience Benue on my tongue here. Though the attendants were mostly locals with little or no trainings but they were really nice and courteous. I ate Beniseed soup with bush pig meat and pounded yam, then washed it down with extra cold beer. My day was made. I hope to visit again.

Aver is the place I visit when I want to enrichen my taste buds with the local delicacies Makurdi has to offer. They offer a fair variety of local dishes and sitting is in and outdoor. Service can be quite slow but if you are a regular, this shouldn't be a problem. I recommend going for the entire range of local soup which we nicknamed (the Piano) so you can decide your preference. The bush meat is an absolute banger.

Great Place to enjoy good food and local delicacies.
You can get 5 different Soup to eat pounded yam.

I love this place because their food is very tasty and very affordable for the quality they give. They serve Benue state local dishes. They have an indoor and outdoor sitting. I love the outdoor sitting more because it feels like you are having lunch at your backyard, enough trees and fresh air.
