The location is hidden and off of the main road within the food market - there are no markers or signs. You have to pass through a gate and then through a building of covered stalls. The shops are plentiful and carry wonderful hand made Nigerian items. Love this place.

Nice place. Quiet. You can sightsee and just hang around to talk and ask about their work. They have really unique accessories too. Lots of decorative items that are handmade and homey.

Most of the prices are inflated. Maybe cos many people don't come around so they want to maximize every contact. I also found cheap things tho. Like, the wooden kitchenware is cheaper than you'll get in most places. As much as you can, try to drive a hard bargain. Slash their prices in half and stay with it for a while before going up. And most sellers have the same thing so try moving around so you can get the best price possible.

I loved this market. I loved the variety of bags, purses, bangles, walking sticks, necklaces, earrings, shirts, sculptures and so much more.

African arts and crafts are supposed to be celebrated even worldwide and this is a fantastic representation of it.

Before you set out, ensure your negotiation game is on point if it's not go with someone who is. Prices tend to surge and you'll be surprised how much you'll save if you negotiate properly.

If you are a lover of art and a big supporter of artisans, try to curtail your excitement because this place will blow your mind, and if you express it so much, the vendors tend to pick up on that and escalate their prices.

When you visit, you'll get to see lots of artworks, woven bags/baskets/hats, wooden carved objects, jewelry, precious gems and so much more. It was an amazing experience and I enjoyed every moment I spent there.

This place is the hidden treasure of Lagos State. Talents undiscovered!!!
It's amazing that there's little or no recognition and publicity for the awesome work going on here. If you think you don't know art, visit Lekki Art market and if you are a lover of Art, visit as well.
You can't take it all in at once.
This is a potential tourist attraction and cultural expression wasting away right under...????????

If you have not visited...go NOW. See Ma Chichi or Mr. William for authentic artifacts, Afiz for authentic artwork and Mr. Price for any wood furniture. I have been dealing with them for years and they are absolutely amazing! You will not be disappointed.
