I loved the whole atmosphere... Their service is top notch. They're not too expensive. My cousin took me there and I really enjoyed myself there. I'll be visiting there anytime soon.

Conspicuously located along Tiamiyu Savage street (same street with the more popular Terra Kulture) in the upscale Victoria Island area of Lagos, Pearl Garden Chinese Restaurant does not disappoint with its Oriental theme and opulence.

As I walked through the grand double door entrance - manned by a doorman of course - my eyes heralded a large partitioned restaurant floor, with large chandeliers hanging pretty and and walls adorned with Oriental art.

Aesthetically pleasing. ✅

Space, they say, is the ultimate luxury. There is plenty of it here.

COVID 19 protocols are still observed; a compulsory temperature scan and hand sanitizer applied before proceeding to sit.

It was a group dining and I was directed upstairs, where I was ushered into one of the private dining rooms - customary with upscale Chinese restaurants.

The red rug lining the staircase was a nice regal touch but it needs to be changed; it is a tad faded and almost threadbare.

The air conditioning upstairs was way better than it was downstairs; perhaps because it was a private room.

The meals were really good; from the spring rolls starter to the main course and fruits dessert. Well presented and delectable. The Chapman I drank was on point too.

Wait time before the main course was about 45 minutes.

Service was good and organized. I did not use the restroom, thus unable to comment on that. There is wheelchair access only to the ground floor; no elevator.

Parking is limited and there was no one to assist with that; a key service detail missing.

Recommended as a good choice for an Oriental dining experience; more for a group than individual.

Lovely place,lovely meals that filled my stomach and still had some to take away. The Waiters are proactive too

I read the good reviews to my disappointment. The barbecue pork was terribly dry, cornstarch had rained from the kitchen ceiling, goopy unsavoury sauce, flavourless noodles, the vegetables while vibrant, were salty and the sauce could have been made by a preschooler. Avoid avoid avoid. Wasted money and time. Rather have eaten instant ramen.

"Do you have any food allergies?" Thoughtful question by my host. I have none. So we ended up here.

Mini feast fast for 3. Tasteful dishes. Lovely ambience. Well maintained actually because I was here in 2012 and it still looks good.

Toilet was clean and staff were really responsive. Parking spaces may be an issue though they have a way of making it work.

I can't talk about pricing, someone else paid (my host), but she would have let me know if it were overpriced.

Food was amazing. Enough space for any crowd you intend having for a party. Staff are great as well.

It's OK food is nice recommended to try, but one day we visited no body came to ask us what to order or came to bring menu we even left and they didn't even ask why we are leaving or if there is any issue.
The extra cost on their bill are too much and high...
