I was actually going to rate Lagoon Hospital, Ikoyi 4-5 stars but I’m constrained to give 2 stars.
Visited the facility on 15 August, 2022 for check up. The hospital is neat, no doubt. It was the first time I was going to use my HMO and registration was quite quick.
The front desk officers need some retraining. I read someone’s review where they said the front desk officers feel they’re doing you a favour. That’s very correct. I needed a pen from one of them and she just threw the pen to me with so much disdain. I heard several clients come to shout at the front desk officers or the nurses before they were attended to. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to raise my voice. Moreover, I wasn’t in the mood for trouble so I let the disrespectful attitude slide.
The nurses who took my vitals were good. The doctor I saw (Dr Dasa) was also very nice and took his time to explain things to me. The laboratory staff were polite and fast in taking my blood samples.
The pharmacy took a while to give me my medication but they were okay.
The most annoying part is that I have been waiting to receive a copy of the test results for more than 24 hours now. I’ve called severally without any response. I can’t understand why it has to take so long to send results of tests that have already been carried out. The longer it takes to get the results the less confidence I’ll have in same. And I have read several people complain about this same delay in sending results to patients.
Lagoon Hospital, please send me my test results for the Full Blood Count (FBC), C-Reactive Protein (CRP) and Malaria Parasite (MP) tests.
PS
Update to my review: I received a call from a staff of the facility on 16 August, 2022 and she followed up with the team responsible for sending the results. And the results were sent same day. Therefore, I have now increased my rating.
