I was with my partner at De Rigg - the new one on Alh. Tokan Str. - for 10 nights in July 2022.
The environment is serene and neat, with ample parking space.
All the staff were absolutely professional, very helpful, courteous and always willing to assist.
‘Crown’ is the most expensive set of rooms and is quite big, with a functional AC, TV, desk, chair, center table, sofa and refrigerator. The wardrobe had hangers.
Although, we had to change rooms after the 2nd night, as the first of its kind where we stayed would usually reek of cigar/weed smoke during the early hours of the morning and midday.
We eventually figured that that particular room is connected to the rooftop bar via a fitting in the bathroom ceiling, through which the smoke smell filled the room. There was no hassle in changing our room though. The staff did not hesitate. I think that room should be worked on; it’s a bit bigger than the others in the same price range and shouldn’t be let to waste.
They clean the room daily, provide new towels, bedsheets, mini toothbrush, toothpaste, tissue, lotion and bath soap daily.
Their complementary breakfast option is limited. I think they should include more choices for breakfast. You’re offered 3-4 slices of bread, fried eggs and tea with a bottle of water. The kitchen staff however said you could have yam and eggs twice in a week, starting from the 4th day. Bizarre, isn’t it?!
Their gym is good but small. It can hold about 5 users at a time, so you might have to check back if other persons are working out as at the time you want to.
They have a swimming pool but I never used it.
They have a broad range of food. I ate their soups and I really liked it.
Their bar is cool, but I never drank at the bar.
Overall it was a great experience staying here and I’ll sure return sometime soon.
