Sunday, July 10 2022 - members of my department at work led by our leader (yes, not HOD) went to experience Italy in Nigeria. Planned for weeks and the outcome was not disappointing.
Basilico is legit, original and not too pricey.
The double espresso is marvelous and the bruschetta recipe is suitable for all foodies. I had some linguini and carbonara for the main course and rounded up with a Michelleti Bolgheri.
Atmosphere is serene (when it's not raining) and the spaces are judicious, lighting is ambient, and the decor is a mix of African and contemporary art (was disappointed not to see some Italian works like a Fiat, leaning tower of Pisa, Mario and Luigi etc.).
Basilico is good for stopover getaways, light dinners, soirees, light-hearted culinary fiascos or gentle munching. Please enjoy your stay.
