This used to be the only monument in Katsina City standing as the exact copy of its historical replica. However, the old gate, which was made of mud, was demolished in late 2021 to construct a new one that is stronger and “modern” in outlook.

The new city gate is almost complete today (April, 2022)

The historical "Ƙofar Marusa" was dilapidated by Katsina State Government recently, with intention of building a modern one.

It is a high traffic area. Not recommended during the day if you are driving a car. Through Kofar durbi is much better

Kofar marusa was a local township market were almost every local fruit, food, good and services can be gotten.

Kofar Marusa has and forever been an icon in katsina state. The place have been recently renovated, from the clay ancient structure to a mordern structure but it still resembles its unique ancient design.
