The Emirate palace Building is one of the most ancient monument in the historic city of Katsina. The mud structures that housed the emir is still functional and its beauty could be seen from within and outside the palace. It is one of the living Hausa architecture that attracts tourists to the ancient city. The walls of the palace were decorated with (Makuba) red clay mixed with dung with a touch of mural designs in brilliant green, red and yellow colours.
