Federal University Dutsinma, owned by the federal government. Federal College of Education Katsina (affiliated to Bayero University Kano). National Open University of Nigeria, Isa Kaita College of Education Dutsinma (affiliated to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria), a state owned college of education. Cherish Institute Batsari, a privately owned university awarding degree in health courses.
The Federal College of Education Katsina,was founded in 1976, by the Federal Government of Nigeria along with other Federal Colleges of Education (then Federal Advanced Teacher's College) to produce well qualified non-graduate teachers of the Nigeria Certificate in Education cadre initially to teach in the Junior .

Extremely spacious, I couldn't even see the end of the school but some parts are still under construction. Like the name implies, it comprise of different faculties in education. Nice and cool environs. Eateries, hostels
