Yesterday was my first time being at PortoGolf, I went to visit a friend who came to Kano.
1.The Bedsheets needs to be changed, it looks sort of worn our and no longer white.
2. There was no bathroom slippers, she called housekeeping and was told they don't provide slippers for guest. Thankfully the housekeeping staff offered to buy one for her outside the premises.
3. The kitchen staff who served dinner was a bit clumsy, when he brought the food the cutlery fell down and the food almost slipped too. He had to go and get new cutlery which took him almost forever to come back.
4. The security personnel were polite and professional.
5. The environment is beautiful and serene but quite busy at night.
6. The doors are not sound proof, there was so much noise filtering into the room from the passage.
7. Good cooling AC unit in the room.

The place is great. It's a very nice hotel of its kind. They have all we need.

Nice and clean environment, but the attitude of some of the restaurant staff needs training and retraining.

The services were poor. The hotel is situated amidst factories as such the air is always polluted. Worse off the customer service was poor - the attendants had poor hygiene culture: they simply came to my room took the tea mug to the bathroom and just rinsed it without washing. You can imagine my disgust realizing that it was what they did with the last customer and I was drinking from the same cup.
The water was hard making my soap not lather. Then the one place we would have had fun, was the gym but then the lady managing the gym was rude. Not sure why it was so for us.
Hopefully someone may share a different opinion.
But I must commend the security personnel, they were sooooo polite and courteous.

First day was fine. Good receptionist. Could be better maintained but service was great. I booked 2 days later for a Saturday and the receptionist guaranteed the reservation, telling me to come by 1pm, only for me to be told when I get there that it isn’t available and was never guaranteed. Inconsistent and unreliable.

When I visited Porto golf hotel I stayed there for 2 nights and these two nights were okay, not great but not bad as well.
1. Price for the hotel is okay ( similar to most hotels)
2. Great staff.
3. Clean room and toilet and good AC ( air- conditioner)
4. Free wifi yet it's not as good as you might expect it to be.
5. Free breakfast BUT there are some items you might order and not get because there are not on the menu sadly.
6. Big and clean pool (I really liked it)
7. The restaurant is cool and clean and prices are not too high ( depends on the food you want)
Other than that all was okay ????????
