The experience in itself was very interesting getting see a tradition of over 100 years still being practised. As soon as we entered we had a guide he explained the tye and dye process at the dyeing pit. Men are responsible for the dyeing whilst women tie the designs in their local homes. He took us to one of the local homes where I was able to try out tying one of the patterns. Some of these patterns take weeks to tye. It is a craft that is being passed down from generations. I bought a fabric so I didnt have to pay them. I reckon if i didnt buy a fabric I would have to pay.
Only thing that really needs to be done is to work on the hygiene in the place - there were lots of flies which doesnt really make for a comfortable experience
