Kind of like a ghost of what it used to be when I visited it as a kid. Most of the huts and vendor spots are empty. The real catch is the gallery..I think there's a fee (500naira)

You wouldn't know a place this preserved existed.
Though a new museum, it is definitely maintained and I hope they keep it up. They had a tutor. Cameras are allowed in some places, and some places, cameras aren't.
However, I took advantage of the few I could capture.

I think it is an insult to the intelligent people of Kaduna to call this a National Museum.
The only Gallery that is not privately owned or run that should be open and made accessible to all was closed. They said there was no power so the building is dark.
Fine, okay, taking a walk in the compound was just like taking a walk in a miniature children recreational centre. Please, we can do better, please do.
On the other hand, if you have some time to pass, you can stop by here. In less than 15 minutes you should be done

One of better managed museums I visited in Nigeria. It costs 500 Naira per person and they have a museum exhibition guide you can buy. Its main focus is around the Nok Art within the context of Nigerian traditional arts. You will find quite a number of original artifacts and some replicas. The fee includes a guide. As usual no photographs allowed which does makes not much sense as they need the publicity
