Kajuru Castle

This is one of Kaduna’s best-kept secrets and is sometimes even considered a myth. Don’t be wary because it’s a real place, Kajuru is a European-style castle sitting on a rock hidden in Kajuru local Government, South-east of Kaduna. Yes, House on the rock and it covers about 400 square metres. It was built in 1976 and is a popular attraction among adventurous tourist. Tourists try to find their way to the palace by climbing the hills around it, a truly exciting experience.

When it appeared that nobody in the whole of the city knew it's location, I stopped in from of Kaduna State University to ask the students. To my surprise, nobody knew. All the tricycle operators did not know too. I then asked a motorcycle operator to take me on a physical search. We parabulated the whole estate in front of the University and also behind the university. The closest thing we saw was Kajuru Close. It was exhaustingly disappointing. I left without knowing where it's located.
Shame.
