It's a nice place filled with Northern monuments, complete with libraries, artifacts and plants.

My personal favorite spot (captured in the photos) is what used to be the house of Sir. Ahmadu Bello's residential home.
I was able to see personal items of his (wasn't allowed to snap), pictures of events that happened there, members of his family and home protocols.
There are important trees there, one of which was planted by Sir. Ahmadu himself, another that is said to be the first Kola tree ever planted in the region.
You should totally check it out.

Arewa house museum, Kaduna.
•A historical museum that holds several collections of cultural artifacts, photographs, and books. It also contains 19 satellite galleries which exhibits the individual Northern States, their civilization and cultures and also the life and times of late Sir Ahmadu Bello, Sardauna of Sokoto (whose portrait adorns the 200 Naira banknote).
•Entrance fee is #100 per adult, and a guide is assigned to take one around and explain in details the history of late Sir Ahmadu Bello, the various artifacts and books on display and so much more!
•It’s a clean, serene and safe environment with good parking space!

So I've always known Arewa to be a library and museum of sorts. (Arewa House is a research center of sorts) They have the halls for events and all that but this past week I found something else I didn't know about Arewa House. They have accommodations called the Post Graduate Hostels! From outside it looks very unassuming but when we got in, the rooms are not bad at all. Clean and well kept. We had a thing with the sockets on the walls, but eventually that got fixed. Security looked good. Only ish is there isn't any food there. If you plan to stay there, just be sure to eat before coming in! ????

A Museum of Northern Nigerian History, Archive, library and Alhaji (Sir) Ahmodu Bello, First Premier of Northern Nigeria's Residence all in one place. Managed by the History Department of Ahmodu Bello University, Zaria. Eco friendly environment with adequate parking space.

The museum contains artifact from the 19 States of Northern Nigeria this a aside the main gallery dedicated to the life and times of Sir Ahmodu Bello. At the Official residence of the premier can be found personal properties of the premier ranging from cloths, books, praying beads, sword (of title) etc.

They also have the best customer service around, their staff are so professional and friendly, they will make you want to come back.

The next time you visit Kaduna, do locate this historical edifice and pay them a visit, I'm sure you will be glad you did.
