Jos Road Trip ...... Episode 4
At any time you are on your way to Jos Plateau State from the south east and north central states of Nigeria, you will have to climb the mountains that ushers you into Plateau State. These mountain is called Hauwan Kibo. The mountains are very high and forms the table on which the plateau people reside.
With very steep edges and dangerous loops, the Hauwan Kibo is a hill one must be careful while driving to the the top. You must also have a should car with good breaks. The speed limit as you climb must be respected at all times and different areas.
Alot of vehicles have been seen to breakdown on that hill especially those that are not strong enough and the heavy duty vehicles carrying loads of goods.
As soon as one approaches Hauwan Kino, you are always greeted with very cool breeze ushering you to the beautiful weather in Plateau State.
The popular Hauwan kibo plays host to rare bush animals. There is constant hunting in the mountains for different animals and the hunters come to the highway to make sales immediately after their catch. I had to take a snap shot with one of the antelopes they caught on one of my trips to Jos
