Challenge Bookshop is a reputable bookshop in Jos. Located around Beach Road, it is a place where you can find books especially Christian books. I can reasonably estimate that 70% of the books there are Christian books. I saw one or two history books however, my recommendation is you use it when you're searching for Christian books. There are also several Bibles available. The staff are focused, though I can't say friendly.
