Unilorin Dam popular know as Unilorin lakeside is a a beautiful site to behold.
It's located along University of Ilorin Post Graduate School.
It was great seeing nature at it's calmness.
The place need a face lift to make it a standard recreational center.
The facilities and structures needs attention.
Recommended for picnic, hangouts and other social activities.

Unilorin Dam also known as Unilorin Lakeside is a large water body located inside the postgraduate school of University of Ilorin.

Apart from the beautiful view, you can go on a boat ride which is one of the cheapest recreational activity I’ve seen. At only 200 naira, you can go on a boat ride to a particular part of the lake but if you want to be taken further, you’ll be asked to pay extra money so you’ll have to negotiate with the canoe rider on that one.

Entry fee is 100 naira and the canoe ride is 100 naira too. There are life jackets to use. Always ask for one.

The canoe rider closes business by 4pm but can also take on special requests after that time. The best times to visit is in the evenings at sundown. That way, you totally enjoy it without worrying about the scorching sun.

I absolutely loved the short but interesting canoe ride at a cheap rate.

A cool place for relaxation. It's located along the postgraduate school. A conducive place for family leisure, get together for pals. The dam is used in generating few Megawatts of electricity for the campus.
It has a large parking space and the convenience are opposite the site very close to a restaurant all servicing the dam.

Unilorin Dam Resort Centre, one of the tourist attractions in Ilorin town, Kwara state. A serene environment with birds chirping, green grasses, good water view, pleasant staff, sitting area and gazebos. Ideal for a family picnic, group get together, meetings, photo shoots, events, and a get away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Extras are a canoe ride, on site meal from the nearby restaurant, a researchers lodge nearby. However, being an outdoor natural site, there’s a lot of sun flies, you might want to get sun repellent cream or protective wear. As at review, entry fee is 100 Naira per head and 100 naira for a canoe ride. All in all, it’s a pleasant experience there.

Serene atmosphere... Quiet waters... Could pass as a place to just sit and think. Still under construction as at the time of this review (the surrounding that is.). There were two boats in sight, so prepare to paddle for you like the wet adventure. It's cheaper when you come single than when you come in a group of more than 5 (I wondered why... I actually asked why). Altogether a cool place that has good prospect if well managed.

The environment was serene and lovely. For the best feeling visit during the evening hours. The setting sun is lovely from there. Don't forget to try the canoe ride!
