Café Chrysalis Old Bodija

It's not easy to locate, I chose the location on the spur of the moment, if you don't know your way around Old Bodija Google map my take you down a wrong way(wrong in the sense that the most straightforward route to the place is blocked by a gate) but once you reroute, you'll find it, The Cocktail and mock tail i ordered were very nice and well done, I wasn't really hungry so I mostly ordered something to snack on, which was tasty and hot.
The best part of Cafe Chrysalis is the little garden and the birds tweeting madly outside, i loved the swing seat in the garden overall it's a place one can go to escape to madness of the city for a refreshing break.

You would most likely not know that there is a café in this location considering that they don’t have any form of external building design that indicates such. The ambience is very great. They have a lovely garden downstairs, fascinating picture frames at the staircase area, and attractive art works at the sitting area. They all contribute to giving an enjoyable feeling of warmth.

The food was nice, though it took a while to arrive which is because it was just prepared after the order was made. They served some really nice mocktails also.

The only downside was the noise from the blender whenever they had to blend ice to make drinks.

In summary, this is a great place to have a good time.

I always love here but recently there's a dip in the taste of meals. Most times they are short of available menu and mock tail. There's need for prompt upgrade. Place is dying by the day. Still have very courteous staff. And please Rat control should be looked into.

Great place! Had an awesome time. Good choice if you are looking for a space with a switch from casual dates. Didn't particularly enjoy their Pina colada. :(

They started late but still had a 5 star brunch.
How? The food quality was top notch whole the flavor/seasoning and spice levels were excellent.

That grilled chicken tasted as close to Deep Southern grilling from the USA that I've had since evening here.

The desserts were intriguing and exceeded expectations as I don't care for desserts but that chocolate strawberry pudding type dish tastes like ice box pie from home. The Chapman offered while we waited during their setup was superb. Nothing over powered anything as everything complimented each other dish.

Orange juice. Waffles. Pancakes. Small chops. Jollof rice. Salad. Parfaits. Cookies. Chocolates were also offered. See pictures for the full view.

Beautiful hangout spot with a lovely ambience.

Rusty feel with the wooden design, art and lighting.

Reasonably priced menu where you get a range of varieties.

As at the time of visit, the staff were very polite and helpful with choices. Although most of our requests weren't available.

It's located in an almost hidden spot, but worth the visit.

Available restroom.

Beautiful breakfast experience.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast location in Ibadan and the best part, they have different locations spread across Ibadan - Old Bodija, Ring Road, Ventura Mall and Jericho.
