This area used to be Agricultural Reserved Area in the days when Action Congress under the leadership of late sage Pa Obafemi Awolowo. However, succeeding Governments never gave it a thought to revive it they rather decided to give up Agricultural land estate for Residential purposes. Today, Kolapo Ishola Estate, Carlton Estate, Private Schools and even Government schools has taken over greater part of this former green area
