It is a private hospital owned and managed by the catholic community. The environment is ok and nice. They have a very good access road. They are doing their best, but you need to be ready for their charge o! Private hospital can charge for Africa.

One thing the management needs to work on is to stop telling people to pay for card on emergency situation before attending to the patient. Anybody that comes to hospital knows that he will definitely pay for hospital card to see a doctor. I don't know why the payment for hospital card is more important than human life especially on emergencies.

When we brought somebody here on emergency, one of the nurses in night duty told us to go and purchase hospital card while she runs to call the doctor. When the doctor arrived and checked the patient, he confirmed him dead and told the nurse to refund us our money we paid for the card that night. Maybe they refunded us the money because the man is dead on arrival.

If you love yourself or your sick loved one, don't come here. You will be alone except when the nurse comes to give medication, I have been crying over the stress they have put I and my diabetic mother through, I just can't wait for her to get better and we can finally go home. I repeat you are on your own in this hospital. If you don't go to the right offices they will forget you are there

Is well equipped and furnished with 21st century health care facilities for adequate and efficient care delivery. Good customer care services too

My sister gave birth in this hospital !! I must say they are highly professional with what the do , conducive environment, owned and operated by the Catholic mission, very affordable.

My review will be based on 3 aspects:
#Environment;
The hospital has a fairly large environment beautified with shrubs and hedges. It's always kept clean for the duration of my visit.
Rating: 5/5

#Hospital Practice and Customer Service;
The sluggish service here will probably put you off. Takes ages for them to create, find and move files. Plus poorly trained staff. Most times you will be required to go find your file. In a nutshell, there is no inter-communication between departments.
Rating: 2/5

#Medical staff Satisfaction;
As perceived from interaction with medical workers, one may rightly conclude that their lackadaisical attitude might stem from poor management. This is not good and may affect how they treat patients.

P.S.:
An old male nurse, couldn't properly fix drip on my arm. Owing to his wreckless practice, the area just kept swelling, till of course, I threatened. Plus a lot of other undesirable experiences.
Notwithstanding, there are still some good nurses and doctors there. Just be astute enough to find them and don't fall for the whack ones!

Base note:
A lot has to be done to up the standard of this 15 year old hospital owned by an organization as big as the church.

It Catholic hospital located in the city of Awka,Nigeria. Opposite st Patrick cathedral church,very big hospital with 24hours steady electricity.
Doctors and nurses ever ready to attend to your needs. Their having mortuary and lot inside, just no that your sickness is their concerns.
